Details: Start between 10:00 and 12:00. Last horse to be back by 15:30.

 

Venue: Talybont on Usk Livestock Market, Station Road, Talybont, LD3 7JE. This is just off the A40 - see the welcome letter download for directions.

Course: The route will go up the tram road and around Talybont Reservoir on forestry tracks and some grass verges. There is about 2km of roadwork, depending on which route you do: 12km (7 miles), 22km (14 miles) or 30km (19 miles),  with option to repeat circuit if you wish to do a longer distance. The long route will be closed at 14:00.

There is a steep canal bridge, which we recommend you get off for - it will be stewarded and there will be a mounting block and a helper. Road studs are recommended. On the long route, there is a substantial climb of about 0.5km on the road. There are several places to crew, and a ford.
